Volunteering at Arbor

The Board of the Arbor Parent Teacher Association (APT) would like to welcome you and your children to the 2026-27 school year. Read below to find out the many ways in which you can volunteer at Arbor.

You, the parents, are an essential part of the Arbor experience, playing an important role in every stage of our students' development. Arbor School could not do its work without your generous efforts. We appreciate the many ways that parents are involved and supportive of Arbor School and know this looks a variety of ways here on campus–from helping tiny hands in Design Studio to setting up cones for pumpkin bowling to hosting pioneer day, complete with calico bonnets, to creating a medieval feast to setting up the Snack Shack and painting lines for the Senior Track Meet.

Many hours are put in after school, sewing costumes late into the night, organizing student work over the weekend, collaborating with fellow parents to put on a classroom event, preparing a special dish to welcome prospective families at Open House, and treating our graduating families to a beautiful and delicious graduation reception.

We also know there are many talents and areas of expertise in our parent community that we may not know about, and that will enrich the experience for all. APT activities offer a variety of ways for your talents and interests to contribute to your Arbor experience. If you have a special skill, interest, or vocation, Arbor will likely have a place for you.

Please take a few minutes to indicate your preferences by responding to the survey. Your choices will help us match your skills and interests with the right opportunities. This survey is also meant to be a tool that our community can use when looking for parent volunteers for the many hands needed to make light work here at Arbor.

Many thanks from the entire APT Board!
